You can burn your video to DVD for playback on DVD player.
DVD movie is encoded by MPEG2 standard.
The encoder, resolution, aspect, bit rate, frame rate are fixed. And your video will be converted into .IFO, .VOB,.BUP files.
It’s unnecessary to know details about this. Just follow the step by step guide(How to Burn Video to DVD) to finish it.

This is the most rediculous thing ever! I have been sitting here using the RAD/BINK software to convert my files...thing is...I have no idea what file it needs to convert to, to give me both sound and picture on my .mov clips. I have tried EVERYTHING! I have now 3 duplicates of the same video clip .mov file. One is .mov, one is .avi and one is .wma - NONE of which are playing both video and audio when I play the clip in Movie Maker which is my whole point! I want to use these clips in windows movie maker but I can’t because I can’t get the dang thing to work right! And converting a file? You might as well be speaking japanese! HELP!!! Why do they make it so difficult? Now I am without sound completely on the .avi file and without picture on the .wma file and can not play the .mov file at all in movie maker unless I view it from my Kodak software...which doesn’t help me when trying to make a slide show thru movie maker! ugghhh!
Thanks for listening to me vent. Please help!

Find a program called Quicktime alternative (free) and much more stable on windows and apple’s quicktime which seems to be harsh on Windows Machines.

I had to export my .mov file to an .avi file, then windows media player could open it. Chris1977, that may work for you!

I guess I spoke too soon. Like Chris1977 said, windows media player does dot recognize the .mp4 extension

The movies are in .MOV format - obviously that’s what her camera saves them as, and they play alright on QuickTime.

But for some reason there is no sound on them which is really disappointing. She told me that her camera recorded sound.

Is this something to do with the format they are in? Any ideas on what’s gone wrong here and if converting the files would help any?

Thanks very much.

as silly as this may seem - did she record the video with her sound turned on on her camera? my camera does the same thing and i forgot to turn on the sound once..then i forgot to turn on my speakers...lol..must have been a bad day for me..after that all was fine and has been since..

Hi just tried to use streamclip to convert .mov files on my mac to mpeg4 files to play in windows movie maker (i need to get them into power point). but when i converted them windows media player didn’t recognise them. ive tried a couple of different variation but i don’t seem to be doing it right. Does it matter if i convert on my mca or pc?

Any suggestions appreciated.
