To find out the video codec using the QuickTime Player:

1. Open movie
2. Choose > Movie menu
3. Choose > Get movie properties
4. Choose > Video track, from the left menu
5. Choose > Format, from the right menu

The format the video track is encoded in will be shown.

you can still use mpeg videos for website

you can capture it in email quality , so u can record video more than ten min. with 2MB,so it can let people save the video if they like it.but if u like mov keep using it

tuck: open the file with GSpot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) or AVICodec (http://avicodec.duby.info/) and see what they say about it.

Here’s a small program that you can use to rename the file(s) - .dat renamer (http://www.angelfire.com/ego2/idleloop/dat_renamer.htm) You can specify what you’d like to appear as the extension.

Another way to do this is to - Open a folder>Tools>Folder Options>View and untick 'Hide extensions for known file types'. Apply changes. Now put in an extension.

First u must know what format was Movie1 in.
then u can use some editing/capturing programs , many of them out there for ex. VirtualDub or Adobe premiere 6 or Macromedia Director or Ulead video studio fifth version , u can use it to convert it then to different format like RM(real-player) or ASF or WMV or as what you want mov format
if i were u i will use RM its good for videos on some website ,but if u perfer mov then go on.

Just add the extension in Windows Explorer!

- i.e. rename the file from to .mov
