I have exactly the same problem. First of all the .avi movie indicated that another tag was required. I downloaded an AC3 filter and then the picture went rather strange (overwriting of any figures in action, blurring of parts of the picture, strange colours etc). This spread to other movies that had previously worked fine. I removed my player software and other video’s would work fine but not the downloaded one. I ran AST-AVI-Rm-WMV repair and it returned the movie back to its original state - perfect picture but no sound, saying that tag 2000 was needed.

I would also appreciate any assistance.
