Hi there!
VirtualDub (and Magix Music Cleaning Lab) keeps crashing for me (WinXP here) while loading the list of codecs whenever I try to choose an audio codec.
I’ve had this problem before after installing early 90s Motion Pixels codec to play a so-called 'MovieCD', an antecessor to our modern DVDs and VCDs. Back then, either de-installing that codec or re-installing K-Lite Mega Codec Pack solved the problem.
But this time I installed CaesarIII by Sierra that came with another version of this Motion Pixels codec, and neither de-installing CaesarIII nor re-installing K-Lite helps. Furthermore, this time there’s no deinstaller included in the Motion Pixels directory, so it stays in my system even after de-installing CaesarIII, even after-installing it from my old MovieCD.
I managed to remove it by installing the codec from my MovieCD via Windows system control, yet VirtualDub (and Magix Music Cleaning Lab) keeps crashing whenever I try to chose an audio codec.
Please help! Using VirtualDub is the only way I know to get mp3 audio tracks in my videos!
