I need the codec, too, but any links I’ve tried so far haven’t worked or are not what I need. It’s very important that I get this thing working by today because I desperately need it for an English project due tomorrow. :\

I’ve had success getting sedg files onto iMovie, but its a two step process, you need to search for “desedge” and “ffmpegx”
just follow the instructions on these two sites for (free at time of writing) installation. and then simply start by desedging your samsung files, this gives you an avi file. then convert the avi to mpeg4 in ffmpegx. drag and drop to A PROJECT not the app or window in iMovie and your good to go. enjoy

juste go on samsung site, for PC there is some codec to hold the Samsung’s AVI thats work very well.

I dont have a MAC, but I’m having a major problem with the sedg codec so I found this forum while looking for answers... and I found something that will (hopefully) help you MAC users:

Jesse Andrews (no, I don’t know him, he just put his name on the site) created a C++ program to “de-sedg” avi files... well, you can read about it and get his free, open-source program here:

Even though it doesn’t help me, perhaps it will help you?

Get 3ivx. It should be able to decode it.
