I dont think Windows movies maker can encode ur AVI files to WMV files, it just is a a basic video creating/editing software introduced by Microsoft. It contains features such as effects, transitions, titles/credits, audio track, timeline narration, and Auto Movie. It can only accept video files in format AVI, WMV, MPEG, etc. So, if you wanna encode AVI to WMV, check out this free video file converter . It’s pretty good at convert various video format.

I have a problem like this. When I upload audio and videos from my phone and camera they usually go with QuickTime and when I switch it to make it go with Windows Moviemaker it tells me that it doesn’t have the right codec and that I should install it. I’ve tried doing it with other things as well, but it still seems not to work. Which codec downloader should I use to fix this problem?

When i try to put my clips into windows movie maker its says “The file C:\Users\Conner.Mom-pc.000\Pictures\2009-08-05\213.MP4 cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again." I have know idea what to do!! please help!

I already found a solution in our problem!!. *FIRST of all download DivX/Xvid Codec. *THEN download FLV to Video Converter Pro 2. YOU KNOW IT WORKED VERY WELL
