Looks like a fake. People will sometimes put a pic (usually in uncompressed AVI format to make it humongous and fill up the 700 MB needed to make it look like a regular movie) with a link to suspicious sites (which may contain malware or viruses, phishing, or just plain spam).
See this thread http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/44398p1.html
Mark it, delete it, and move on.
Alternate way to check: feed the movie into avicodec or gspot. I’m pretty sure the duration will be short (2 min like you said) and it will be uncompressed (_RGcool, or some raw format (YUY2, I420, YVU9, etc.)

If I try to play the avi file in Windows Media Player, instead of it a 2-minute movie will play. This 2-minute movie contains nothing but a so-called error message advertising the website where the required media player can be downloaded.

Is there a way around this?
Can the avi file be played in WMP anyway?

thanks,
rab
