I had the same problem some time ago.
I looked for in my other games from this time and was succesfull. You often find this codec (for example THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS, DIE 24 STUNDEN VON LE MANS, (infrogames) in a few games, folder REDIST.
May be it´s late to help you but not to bring an idea to other gamers.

I used to have no problem running MM2, then I installed XP service pack 2. After the installation I had the same problem. Could SP2 be the cause instead of deletion???

Just download the codec and run it. If it fails let us know.

Ligos Web site: http://indeo.ligos.com

this was pasted from the message details i got from the small screen that pops up when I try and open something in 'received files'.

JPEG is an image format - you don’t need a codec. codecs are only needed for video, and indeo would only be needed for avi files. pps is a powerpoint slideshow. if it contains a video then you might need a codec to play it too. to open pps you would need powerpoint or powerpoint viewer from microsoft.

My WinXP shipped with the Indeo Video Playback codec and I regrettably deleted it.sad
I now find I cannot open *.pps or *.jpg/jpeg files direct from source but rather have to save them to a folder and then open them
In particular when I try and open a jpeg file sent via MSN Messenger I get a message saying I need the Indeo Video playback codec.
Can someone please tell me how to accomplish this?
do i..
a. use the Windows XP Installation CD and if so what do I look for in terms of where it might be located on it?
or
b. can I download a compatible codec from this site, and if so, which one should I be using?

Apologies if this question has been asked before.

Many thanks.
