Hello! well Im trying to edit a video in Windows Movie Maker, but it wont support one of the files, Ive tried everything, but still nothing, It seems that the file’s format is MPEG layer-3, does anyne know where can I download the codec I need?

I think FFDShow can be used to be able to play DivX, XviD etc. with Windows Media Player...

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow

(it’s a DirectShow decoding filter voor DivX, XviD, WMV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2)

I have not tried this myself yet

Good Luck

You might want to pop it into gspot to see what it says. you seem to have the proper codecs (xvid - also windows has an mpeg-3 decoder by default (fraunhoser)). I suspect the file could be of incorrect size.

If it is of incorrect size, use avipreview or media player classic to play it.
