IV32 is the Intel Indeo 3.2 codec. You should find it bundled in most Indeo installations packages. Usually such packages will install Indeo 3, 4, and 5. (Actually it’s more like 3.something, 4.something and 5.something, but the number after the decimal place is rarely of importance)

As for getting the Indeo installation packages try googling for iv5setup.exe (preferred) or iv5play.exe
Here are some hits
http://eps.here.ru/v/
http://ftp.darim.ru/products/redist/
http://www.rl7.bmstu.ru/archives/more_arch/Multimedia/Codecs/
and there’s many more...

There’s many versions out there, so not all the files are identical. If you want the latest free version it’s version 5.11 named iv5setup.exe and 1.97 MB in size and the icon is blue (earlier versions of the setup file have a red icon). Version 5.2 and later are pay and available for purchase from Ligos.

I am trying to run video from a CD-ROM on Windows XP when I receive a message box stating “video not available, cannot find 'vids:IV32' decompressor." Where can I get this? Is it safe to download off the internet? What will run on Windows XP? I have been trying to fix this since January '04.
