Me too! I have tried the Indeo codec, with no success.
Should I rename the files? If so, what should be renamed to what?
I recently reinstalled Windows, and have a feeling that the new Windows updates don’t provide support for it.
Is there any other software that can help?

I wrote some software with Visual C++ to output some OPENGL animations. When using the IV32 codec (which translates to IR32 in the output file) the file plays fine in Windows Media Player and in PowerPoint but plays corrupted in Quicktime Player 7.0 and 7.1 (Windows XP). There is an OK greyscale image plane but any color information appears smeared as though the expected number of pixels per line is off by 1 or more. I guess this means Quicktime is not using the registered DLLs for video cvodec or just doesn’t work properly. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem. I was trying to play a 2hr movie that was in ir32 format and it would show up half black/gray for only 2 1/2 minutes. I also tried to install some new codecs but they were already installed.

I’m having some problems with this codec. It is apparently installed but whenever I try to play something encoded with this it comes up as a half-grey half-black screen, and avis that should be 40 minutes show up as being about 2 and a half minutes. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the codecs but to no avail. Is there something I’m missing? Thanks in advance for your help.
