I went into the microsoft site for the web help when I couldn’t play the wmv files and it stated:

“You’ve encountered error message 80040154 while using Windows Media Player. We are investigating the cause of this error. We will post more information about this error when it becomes available."

Anyone have any idea on this? I need to know the appropriate codecs to use. Also, is this happening due that I’m still using Win98?

I have been experiencing problems in watching both mpg,avi files. Few days ago i accidentally deleted all my codecs and now I can’t even watch wmv,asf,mpg and avi.

Now I’ve downloaded the K-lite mega codec pack 1.38 but the problem is some codecs couldn’t be registered. And I still can’t watch my clips as there was a message in the Media Player Classis stating “Failed to create the filter graph object”

Pls help!
