Kaneb’s solution did not work for me as he wrote it but I changed the file type to mpeg and it worked great! Kaneb - thanks for the Idea! Canon G9 1024x768 avi video.
If you’re still having problems I got my import to work just fine by going to import > changing the file from a .avi to a .mpeg click “ok” for the error and open and it works.
kaneb - You don’t even know how much you just saved my project.
kaneb- You are god. You just saved my English Project.
i have a canon sx 100 is. and kaneb’s trick saved my life..thanks

That actually worked for me, I downloaded this program and it told me what none other could, I was missing the div3 codec, and after some searching I found the divx, now I was able to open it with this one but not in adobe premier 7.0, after that I did “save as avi” and I was able to import the video
Thanks a lot!
Note: none of the other methods worked for me
None of these have worked for me, I have no idea what a codec is. I’m running Premiere CS3. Any suggestions?
