Hi there I just bought a fake ipod I’m nto sure the model number as theirs no indication whatsoever, the seller sold it as an original ipod and even went so far as to include an ipod manual with a fake ipod making it even more usless to me. =/ Anyways! Any suggestiosn tog et it work? It wont charge, the installation CD isn’t recognized by any pcs that I own, and when it does turn on (for like 3 secs) I get an hours class and than it turns off. Thank You JC guy I took your suggestion and followed your direction and downloaded a firmware with 9.1.52 number and it worked great for my daughter’s fake I-Pod. She can now download her music with no problem. I used this file for her’s

We use Windows Media Player to download music onto her MP4. I now have both MP4’s that I bought working.

I have Windows Vista 64 bit, and I was able to sync mine to Windows Media Player. Click computer in the start menu and the ipod should be Removable Disk (I:). Open the file and you will see a folder list, click on the music folder and you should see your audio folders from WMP, click on it, then click a second time, you should see the song name; highlight it, go up to edit and move to ipod music folder. It may take awhile, but you’ll have your songs.
For the videos, I had to convert them to .3gp format, that worked the best.
I hope this helps.

Hey. I just did the totally wrong thing and brought a A1199EMC 8GB *cough* Working *Ends cough* Ipod.
Bought it from my mate’s dad who is selling them *lost his job*. Worked a treat until it didn’t play videos and I needed to convert all my music to a stupid sound file. When I uploaded about 2GB worth of music on, it wouldn’t load. So I left it on one morning to check if it loaded. 7 hours later it was still loading. I plugged it into the laptop but that didn’t recognise it. So im stuck with a dead Ipod at the moment.
Please if you have anything on this please send me an email
M1NI_MAZE@HOTMAIL.CO.UK
Thanks

OK im no teckie but I just fixed mine use this link above to get the firmwear-thanks dude who posted it. Get any version that has the code Firmware 9.1.52 Save that to your hard drive. Hook up your I pod to your computer and re format in what ever drive yo are pluged in mine was-G-reformatting is how you get out the version that doesnt work. Go to recent Items on your windows start. Im running Vista. you will see a long line of sh!t with Firmware 9.1.52 in it. left click it. it will give you the option to send it. Once ot does send it to the drive you have your ipod n andit should upload. Then to get music go to your windows media player and then sync up and enjoy. Oh yeah try lime wire for your music. Just save the music to windows media player then it will play on your fake pod LOL.
