If you play your dvd on pc the software plays both Pal and NTSC systems and maybe your dvd is in different system. Are you sure your Sony’s play both? Pal system has about 25 frames per second and NTSC is at about 29.9 Check the info file for your download and find out more.

This is an easy fix. The iso is probably region 1. Use a program called clone dvd2 or shrink dvd to burn it region free as there are options to set the region to burn to. That’s all you have to do.

I’ve got an issue I can’t seem to figure out. I’ve downloaded .iso files and burned them to DVD. They work fine if I play them on the DVD-ROM in my PC or if I play them on my laptop. If I try to play them in my Sony DVP-NS55P or my Sony DVP-NS725P player I get an error “Playback prohibited by area limitations” but they play fine in my in-laws Apex DVD player, go figure. The regions are set to 1 on both the ROM and Burner. I’ve tried using several different programs to the burn including Alcohol 120%, Nero, DVD Decrypter to name a few. Anyone got any ideas?
