I recommend you use cucu soft to burn DVD movies, it is good at burning videos to dvd movies and make them play on DVD player. It Supports DivX, XviD, AVI, VOB, .asf, .wmv, .rm, .rmvb, and .mov format as input video.
You can have a look

In DVD shrink, you hit the 're-author' button at the top, then it shows you all the video files, chapters, etc. I believe the primary (read: necessary) audio and video are always checkmarked. You can then just remove the files you don’t want. Like extras, chapters, menus, additional languages, subtitles. Then DVD shrink even tells you how much the video file will be compressed so you know what sort of pic quality compromise you might have. You want that number as high as possible, obviously.

I use Ashampoo Movie Shrink And Burn. It will automatically shrink the movie to fit the blank disk, a nice feature is that it also shows the quality of the finished disk. Hope this is of some help to you.

Hi I have been using DVDShrink and Decryptor for years, through the upgrades and so on. Most of the time no problem, but this last time with Wall-E, WOW the whole file is showing up at a little over 59Gigs. Not kidding, 59! HolyCow. Normally you can deselect the languages you don’t need and so on and then when under the size limit either save to hard drive or burn. I think maybe their is a new kind of encryption designed to throw off these specific programs. I was over size on starwars clone wars and I chose to burn it anyway, and it fit the dvd anyway. MYSTERY. Ps. sorry for spelling and such. I know it is at the level of a 2nd grader. LOL

Use a program called DVD Shrink. It shrinks DVDs to fit onto your DVDR media.
