Come on children, play nicely, the person just wanted a decent respectful answer to their problem.
I’m amazed at the Danish colloquay. I have no idea what nationality you others that criticise are, but before drawing stupid, childish and ignorant remarks like that, look to your own governments. And then of course to put everybody into the same sack, is a pure lack of intelligence.
Either you reply to the question being asked, or you don’t, SIMPLE, don’t freak other’s out, we use these kinds of forums to help each other out!

That is just some crap talking. U don’t need a high tech TV receiver in order 2 watch NTSC. If the receiver is NTSC compatible..then there is no problem what so ever. It will automatically set 2 the right 4mat if the DVD/VIDEO/VCD that U r watching is in NTSC or PAL. I..myself have a TV receiver that is multi world’s compatible. NTSC/PAL/SECAM - SECAM R widely used in France n all Eastern Block Countries including Russia.

Thank you labish, I am going to follow your directions!!

Thank you topsy for your extremely insightful analysis on the danish people and state.

The thing is, my friend, that I dont own a DVD player but I may will sometime in the future. And I know that you can buy code-free-dvd players, but thats not enough you need to have a somewhat new television with good wirering in order not to experience any problems with NTSC format.

Even though they say its code free there can be problems with the screen flicking up and down if you play a different format than the television is used for.

Stop eating Danish cookies, drinking Carlberg lager n watching Porno. Denmark is not a 3rd world country..so go 2 the nearest Electronic Outlet n buy a multi 4mat DVD player. PAL/NTSC compatible.

It’s not a big deal. When you set WinAvi output format to dvd next to this is an advanced key.Click on it and another windows is going to popup.Click on Pal and put the aspect format on automatic to match your video file otherwise if you force a full screen to widescreen sometimes the picture look ugly and streched. Also when you start Nero check the setting on dvd to be on Pal.I guess you backup a dvd and try to make a copy. The easy way is a combination 1Click DVD Copy and Any DVD to pass the protection or plan B combination DVD Fab and DVD Idle.I’ve been using the first one and works very well. All from above are sharewares. To find out the video system BEFORE you burn the file VirtualDubMod is a good tool and if you open the file with it gives you details about it.Looking at frame speed 25 fps is Pal 29.9 FPS is NTSC.

Hello All,

I would like to know how I can convert NTSC to PAL.

I am using 3 different programs to make a DVstraight

winAVI Video Converter, DVD Shrink and Nero.

Sadly I end up with a NTSC and since I am european resident I would like to end with a PAL.

I guess the problem occurs with winAVI when I convert from AVI to DVD, it being an american program, goes right ahead and make NTSC DVD-files.

Can anyone help me in order to end with a PAL format?

Thank you very much for your interest,

Andreas
