I got rid of it by re-tasking exployer.exe *thank you so much!
If you’re still looking for the movie Mr. and Mws. Smith (the good version without problems).. The file is called mof-mamstcc.cd1.avi and mof-mamstcc.cd2.avi..
Good luck with downloading (without stupid problems!)

stop explorer.exe in processes, you will lose all of your desktop. bring up task manager and add task explorer.exe in c:\windows delete the file. good luck
I managed to remove the file mr.and mrs.smith(2005) by using the command: “open with divx player” instead of Media Player. When it didn`t start, I canselled the process in task manager, and thereafter deleted the file the normal way.
Hope you haven’t loaded the new version of Divx 6.0 I had nothing but MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR problems. I finally cleaned out the registry and the system from that disaster. I only have xvid runningnow, together with Elecards new mpeg 4 decoder. No more Problems!
luck.

I am having trouble with a new mr mrs smith avi file i dled last night. It wont run, causes serious cpu usage ..I can’t rename or delete it..also wont show me properties when i click on it either..what can I do to delte this file..any help would be appreciated..thnx
Okay. All other types of video files play perfectly, but AVI files cause the players to freeze up.
But it wasn’t that way until suddenly last week or whenever it was.
I like to add a whole bunch of video clips to the media library in my Windows player and then play them consecutively, but when an AVI plays, I end up having to closeout the player using control/alt./delete and open up the player again just to play the next clip.
I also have the latest Quicktime, DivX, GDivX, Zoom and Winamp players. But I usually only use them for files that Windows and Real won’t play.
Also I have Panda Antivirus that is constantly being updated, and also Spyware Blaster, which I also keep updated. I recently did a full scan of the entire computer with Panda and found no viruses whatsoever.
So I’m at a loss as to what’s wrong.
Thanks,
Barry
