I am having thr same proble. I tried all of your tips without any luck. I am trying to imbed a movie into acrobat 5.0. I used a Pazerna mp4 to avi converter to convert the file to avi format. I am getting this message when I try to play the movie in acrobat.

I have an AVI video clip which will play on XP but will not on a new VISTA model. It says it’s short of a Codec.
I think the one thats missing is an Indeo Video 5.
Can this be installed on Vista platform and if so, how do I get it from XP machine?
