i can only play region 2 dvd’s on my SONY MHC-ZX70.Can anyone help me?

i have the same model player, i’ve found a few brands that do work well
megadata 80 min blue/silver and magmedia 80 min blue/silver

If you could narrow it down to disc brands it would help even more

Here are the formats you can play on your DVD player: CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, and VCD.

CD-R’s will not play on your player... I have a Sony DVD player as well, and it will only play silver (pressed) dics such as RW’s. Dye-based discs (such as CD-R’s) will not play. It depends on the laser used. Hope that helps some.

Well thanks i hadn’t heard about the gold colour thing, but if u look on www.dvdrhelp.com or www.vcdhelp.com and look up the sony mhc zx70 people have reported that TDK-cd-rw works for vcd’s
let me know if u hear anything new

your problem might be in the TDK format .
usually discs with gold color work well with the sony product .
or if you buy sony CD-Rs or CD-RW they should work well with it .

lately some pirated DVDs are not working with my MHC-ZX70 . I am still trying to figure that out

Hi guys, i bought a sony mhc zx70 a while ago and have always been able to play datasafe dvd-r on it but never cd-r, i recently tried TDK CD-rw’s which are known to work but they didn’t, so if anybody has any ideas or help for me please do.
