Network Card Problem

I just bought a laptop computer today, it was slow and had a lot of junk on it so I decided to delete the hard drive and reinstall Windows XP on it. After I did it, I could no longer connect wirelessly to the internet whereas before I could. My network adapter card seems to be this.

national semiconductor corp. dp83815/816 10/100 MacPhyter PCI Adapter

I’ve downloaded the drivers for it and it still doesn’t work. I can’t even search for a wireless connection now in order to try to configure it. It doesn’t pop up on the screen that a wireless network is in range like it did when I first got it home. How do I fix this problem?

If your install disc that came with the PC has the drivers for XP then get the device drivers from it.

If not then try this place:
