Usb port not detecting the mp4...

hi i recently hav bought a ipod looking mp4 of my mate for $60 last 2 weeks ago, everything was perfect nothing wrong but then i saw this site about upgrading firmwire, so i downloaded and tried it out after i opened upgrade firmwire,i couldnt understand wat it was saying so i tried to find the cancel button so i accdently pressed upgrade i think, after it was complete everything was still ok no problem, then the next day i took it and and listened for a few minutes, then i shut it down and after an hour or so i wasnet able to open it back, my computer isnt able to detect the usb drive/mp4, but wen i charge i see this dark grey color screen so i think it isnt yet broken..

my mp4 cant detecting to pc, USB cant recognised, its still can working but i cant upload song or replace anything.. please help and reply at : joyce881_btg@hotmail.com
