Plz help my Sony MP4 Player wont play mp4,avi, ne thing video

ive bought mp4 player but idont know how to work and download music could u help me please

I received an mp4 for christmas and I just took it out of the box, but when i plugged into the usb, nothing pops up. Any ideas on what I can do to trouble shoot.

Check that you haven’t got the player set on intro, if it is it will only play 10 secs of every song...set it on normal.
