Please help - I bought an Apple IPod 8gb in China

Please help - I bought an Apple IPod/MP4 8gb in China but my computer will not recognise it to transfer anything to it. Says driver needed to add hardware but properties says no driver needed. when plugged in to USB Ipod indicates it is charging but PC says unknown device attached and to re-attach. Have I bought a lemon?

I just want to know why you buy a ipod in china?You almost no chance to find a local repair or replacement.

Hi okerr 57,i havea few question...I’m from Czech republic and when a want to buy iPod it cost 530 dolars(iPod Classic 80G it is so much,thats why im finding some bette sources.
Can you describe me when and especialy how you bought this iPod from China?(www ... and so on.) will be better when you take your answear on my mail: xyjohnyxy@centrum.cz

yes you have brought a lemon. Ipods arent made in China... i ordered some for wholesale, sold them and almost was in trouble with the law due to the fact that they were fake... they will not work with itunes either...
