I’ve got 8GB iPod that didn’t work well (got disconnected from PC every few seconds so it was not possible to transfer files) so I just tried to overwrite its firmware (it was showing the below info as version:
MP3 PLAYER
TJD_1322_20
2007-11-26
9.1.52
2005-01-09

and in the Upgrade Tool:
Device name: XINTAI MP3 Player
Productor: Wilson Co. Ltd.
Version: 9.1.52

but now (after using 9.0.42 firmware http://mympxplayer.org/here-df425.html ) it seems to be completely dead - LCD display won’t turn on and Upgrade Tool shows “Device not connected” - please help.

Looking for a download of 9.1.52 for a Wilson MP4.

Inspite of horrible user interface, the MP4 player that I bought from HK on eBay (Wilson LSC_91N206H_A1 9.1.52 2005-01-09) worked OK when I first received it.

I was able to upload JPG photos and MP3 music files and view and play. Similarly the radio and voice memo app worked.

Problem arose when I tried to bulk copy a load more MP3 files to the player to the point that it ran out of space. This resulted in the file and folder structure becoming corrupt. I’ve tried various file recovery programs, but no luck in restoring this. Browsing the player from my PC it shows 2.5Mb used (1.8 free) although none of the files are visible via Windows.

I’d like to reset to default factory settings and start again. If this requires upload of 9.5.1 or 9.5.2 firmware (as I read it does), can someone send me a link or the file itself ?

Thanks

MP3 XINTAI Firmware. Please pass it to the other repliers at the forum, or anyone who needs it.

Hi pals.

At last!, I’ve backed-up the firmware for Xintai MP3 Player from Wilson Co. Ltd., and put it here:

http://www.paginasprodigy.com.mx/darkwing/Xintai9152_Wilson.zip

Don’t worry cause one of the files (at UI30.RES) has an incorrect checksum. It’s due to prior edit on ASCII labels.

I couldn’t say it is really the firmware you want, so you must check and verify thoroughly before proceed.

Please note:
1.- Do not update or reload firmware if your player is working fine (more or less).
2.- If this firmware is not EXACTLY the same version, for the same chipset, there’s no guarantee. The player could not work or, even worst, could suffer defintive damage.
3.- It’s highly recommendable you BACKUP the existent firmware, despite damage suspects.
4.- To backup and/or restore firmware for this player, you can use “S1res” Ver 4.1, downloadable at:

http://www.s1mp3.de/tools.s1res.html

For restoring firmware, you can also use the “Player Upgrade Tool” Ver 4.18 or superior (part of “MP3 Player Utilities”), downloadable at:

http://mympxplayer.org/mp3-player-utilities-dc44.html

Enjoy your music.
