my mp4 player don't play movies files

hi i m rohit from india i bouht warranted china made mp4 player n it plays well all type of song, pictures n text file also. but problem is that when i upload some movies
file and it loaded in mp4 player but when i go in movies folder in mp4 player, it shows “no files”. i tried all type of movie formats such as .mtv, .mp4, .avi. using video converter. so help me n my mail is mickeybairathi@yahoo.co.in

I have a touchscreen mp3/mp4 player. It plays mp3s show pics and text. It downloads to the player and shows in explorer on the player but will not open or play in any regard. I have tried using .avi like the manual says...nothing. I even tried .mp4, still not playing. Help!

Maybe you need to check the format of the video,you know mp4 player always support avi format,and you should know which
resolution your player supported.

Most likely they use AMV files. I have several ipod knockoffs and that is what they use. There is also a free converter online.

Alright guys, I got the answer for this one. Took me a while to figure it myself. Only mp3s in 192kbps or lower bitrate will work. (A real shame, since a good portion of my music library is at 320kbps, but oh well, I can live with that) Now, as for the videos, you need a program to convert them to a compatible format with the player. When you buy it in China a CD comes in the box, but if you bought this off e-bay they normally don’t send it. The program is called AVIConverter and there are several versions of it. I to have purchased a Chinese MP4 player.
I can load MP3 and PICS with no trouble.

The program works perfectly, If you direct
the output of the converter to the MP4 video folder, the Video will load while converting the program. The files will be listed as AVI and they run just fine.
