I have a touchscreen mp3/mp4 player. It plays mp3s show pics and text. It downloads to the player and shows in explorer on the player but will not open or play in any regard. I have tried using .avi like the manual says...nothing. I even tried .mp4, still not playing. Help! reply

Maybe you need to check the format of the video, you know mp4 player always support avi format, and you should know which
resolution your player supported. reply

Most likely they use AMV files. I have several ipod knockoffs and that is what they use. There is also a free converter online. reply

Alright guys, I got the answer for this one. Took me a while to figure it myself. Only mp3s in 192kbps or lower bitrate will work. (A real shame, since a good portion of my music library is at 320kbps, but oh well, I can live with that) Now, as for the videos, you need a program to convert them to a compatible format with the player. When you buy it in China a CD comes in the box, but if you bought this off e-bay they normally don’t send it. The program is called AVIConverter and there are several versions of it. You can download it from here I hope that helps. reply

I to have purchased a Chinese MP4 player.
I can load MP3 and PICS with no trouble.
Cant load VIDEOS .I downloaded the program mentioned by EPYON.
The program works perfectly, If you direct
the output of the converter to the MP4 video folder, the Video will load while converting the program. The files will be listed as AVI and they run just fine. reply

I have an MP4 player I bought in HK and it will not play videos either.. Resolved the errors with the software supplied (PMP Converter - Codecs) but my player can only see AVI files but not play them. It gives an error.. probably due to the video format.. Could it be the video format? Are there standard formats for Chinese MP4 players? reply

I find that one of my Players (made from china) actually plays .avi and some .mp4 but only with low resolution. It plays 320 x 240 with 12bit data rate and a frame rate of 22fps. Although they claim that it plays .amv, the resolution and bit rate has to be in the low range. reply

As I know,
First, most of mp4 player offers video folder for movies. make sure your files is right in video folder.

Second, MP4 and AVI are the most popular formats supported by mp4 players made in China. make sure your video is in this kinds of format.

Third, see manual to find out which formats your player supports, using iSharesoft Video Converter to convert the video to right format.

here is the link,

hope it helps reply
