Wow. I have the Same problem as a lot of you. My best friend bought me an MP4 player from Hong Kong or whatever, and I can’t get ANYTHING to work on it, when I downloaded the USB, it all came up in Japanese, or whatever language it was, so I don’t even know what Microsoft ActiveSync 4.0 is, or something like that, this might be dangerous to give out, but if anyone can help me AT all, will you please (pretty please with sugar on top) e-mail me @ jsc_weirdo_2011@yahoo.com...I would be very much appreciated! thanks! reply

Yes, I’m experiencing the same problem. I bought a small (fits in your palm) pink MP4 player from Hong Kong off of Ebay...The “My Computer” folder in my computer doesn’t even show USB ports.. Why is this? I’m installing WMP 10, and ASM 4.0 now, so possibly this will help.still, if you have a suggestion, please let me know. My computer does not pick up the Mp4 player, or USB ports, at all. =\ reply

With regards to the item that is showing disc error, please connect it to your pc and switch it on. Please then go into My Computer and the player will be recognised as a removable device. Right click on this icon, select format and then Quick Format. This will erase al the data and then allow you to add fresh data. reply

my mp4 player was working and then it was showing disc error, i could only access the radio, when i checked my memory it was showing no memory. i then emailed the seller on ebay and he replied telling me to follow the instructions below, i did this and my mp4 is as good as new, so if anyone is having the same problems follow the instructions exactly as stated. hope this helps reply

hi, i just bought one of these crappy players off ebay too...also from hong kong. it worked really well for like the first day...XP plicked it up...i put my music on it...the disk space was right...basically none of the problems that u lot have had.
Then when i went to play it the next day, every time i clicked on 'music', 'movies', or 'record'...it said i had a DISK ERROR. so i checked the memory status and it said there was nothing on it, then i thought id just sync it again but then my computer isnt picking it up.
Iv no idea what to do!!!
