My mp4 gets stuck on the hourglass screen and it will not load and when i put it into my computer it isnt recognised, is there anything i can do?

P.S. updating firmware will invalidate warranty

when i follow your directions right after i click start the computer says that all the files will lose and then when i click ok it says does not support this type disk

My MP4 is working with firmware version 3.5.35 and it is my first time tryigy to upgarade it so I want to ask about :
1- how can i get a backup of my owned version?
2- can I upgrade it to any new version?

Hi guys! I have the same problems with my Mp3/Mp4 player. A friend of mine brought it for me from China... and now the !@@#~|#@~thing is not working and I really don´t know what to do. It does turn off whenever it wants, my music doesn’t appear, it says that the memory is almost full (when I only loaded 3 songs), I can’t access the player from my computer... As you can see I’m starting to get REALLY MAD!!... does anyone know what can I do to fix it? I just can’t change it for a working one. My e-mail is xihiza@gmail.com

My Wilson Co Ltd MP4 player looks like an iPod nano.
Outside, it says 8GB

It clearly cannot hold that much, and after 6 or 700mB, any subsequent files added get “Format Error”

Back in April, DaftScouser pointed out in this forum that these cheapie players have hacked memory, made to appear larger than they really are. After reformatting according to his technique, I am left with a usable 470MB !!

At least it works...

Most of the problems enountered were due to the memory hack, not the firmware.

hi guys i got a 1gb Mp3?Mp4 player, it was workinf\g fine for 2 months, got downloaded all the music and AMV file but one day hwen i try to listen to my songs, it says empty disk, all of my files says empty disk, i check the memory i have 48% but im not able to pen all the files. I got iPOD look alike MP4 with this firmware, is there anyway I can make a back up of the firmware and send it to you guys?
I would like to help, but I simply got no idea of where to find the extraction tool, note that s1fwx does not work on this firmware, it tells (reading and writing error)
