I had that problem. I simply pluged it into my computer and formatted it as if it was a hard drive. I used FAT32, and it’s been working fine since.

Hi, I found a solution for this problem - I bought the Nova avi player from Uxcell and couldn’t get it to work at all... found this answer on Uxcell.co.uk

Just download this small 2k zipped file here: ( http://www.hotlinkfiles.com/files/84354_ooyxr/avi-converter320x240-setup.zip ) Unzip the file and copy the (Converter.ini) file into the AVConverter folder under your Program Files or wherever you have the program installed. The computer will tell you that you are replacing another file so just click [yes]. You may also want a program that is in English. You can download the English program here: ( http://www.a-grade.com.hk/DRIVER/AVI%20Ver2.0.zip ) Just remember that you still need to copy the Converter.ini file into its folder just like the Chinese program. That should fix all your converting problems. If any of your videos still come out weird then it is probably because your video format was weird to begin with. If that is ever the case just download a free program like VirtualDub and encode the video to 320x240 pixels at 20 or 24 Frames per second with 44100Hz Audio with mpeg or no compression. Then put that in your Converter program and everything should come out pretty.

It worked for me and my player now plays the avi files.

HELP ME PLEASE!!! I just bought an mp4 player on Ebay, and it is totally messed up. The screen flashes when unplugged, and if it is plugged in, it shows a blank white screen. I formatted the player, and it now shows 1-GIG instead of the promised 4-GIG. I want to upgrade the firmware to 9.0.50. Please send the file to:

My Wilson “8Gb” MP3 player works OK now - as a 2Gb player.
Guess you get what you pay for.

PS: one of the symptoms was that each file was visible four times in the folders - so I guess that would be the memory hack failing

i try to upgrade my mp4 player after that it goes on blue screen and i cant return it to normal what should i do
