I have mp4 player that was accidentally formated and it is now blank. How do I restore the files on the mp4 player?

i was looking through my mp3/mp4 and i accidently hid the files, the are still on it but when i enter music or movies it says no files

i hav an olympus mrobe mr100, and hav accidentally reformatted it with a different version and it isnt compatible with my computer anymore, what can i do?
