I have the same problem:
“I have a Generic 4G Mp3 player from Hong Kong. Any music files that are after the first gig show as format error when trying to play them.I’ve formatted the player, done error checks and defrag. None of this helps. Is there anybody who can give me some advice or that have had the same problem.

PLEASE NOTICE SOMETHING HERE !!!

1.- It doesnt matter wich company made your MP3/4, they are all the same, (sony isnt true sony, its just the exterior logo), just realize that all of these have almost the same software slk_9.0.5....

2.- the space problem its common, they can say its 20 gb space if they want but the truth is that its actually 1 gb; to get the real space just connect to your pc, then right click, format, fat32. After that you can see the real space.

3.- Dint you realize that the sys menu have “UPGRADE SOFTWARE” just connect it to the pc, then click menu, the sys menu and go to the upgrade option, click in it and wait until it upgrades.... (I did it and now I have version 9.1.52)
