Hi,
I have a similar mp4 player like this but mine looks like this:

I guess I upgraded it with the wrong player and all I get is a dead blue screen.
I cannot recover the old firmware either using the upgrade tool in mp3 utilities.
My original version was 3.2.16 Wilson Co Ltd. and I was only upgrading with another 3.2.16 version.
Any idea what went wrong?
I also tried a bunch of other firwares...version
3.2.13, and other 3.2.16 versions but none work.
Where can I find I firmware that will work or how do I recover my old one?

I have the same player and had the same problem. I found the right firmware and now it works perfectly. If you want me to send it to you, give me your email adress and I will send you the file.

for all of those people who have the problem where you format it and it reduces the drive’s capacity, here are 2 solutions:
1. reformat it and make sure you havent made partitions, i had this problem and it partitioned my mp4 player without me telling the program to.
2. go to “http://www.s1mp3.org/en/downloads_fw.php#oled” (without inverted commas) and look for you mp3/mp4 player’s subheading, then find the firmware that says its for DEAD PLAYERS ONLY! people i cannot stress enough that if you have a fully or partially operable mp3/mp4 player, then don’t and i mean DONT upgrade your player as it will have a 99% chance of really screwing it up, making it not work
