Konnichiwa! Visit S1mp3.org to find some solutions to your problems, they got there for a guide to fix dead mp3/mp4 players, and a lot of other things that I think are helpful, I got a 1GB mp4 Wilson Co. I’m thinkin' about getting its firmware upgraded but reading all comments/problems after upgrading they’re player, I think I’ll consider it for now. I’m techie but not a nerd.

Back-up your firmware before trying to upgrade it!

When formatting your Mp4 player, NOTE: Be sure to use FAT format NOT FAT 32! If you format it using FAT32 then probably you’ll get a lower memory capacity than your original mem capacity. So format it in FAT format only, no more, no less. Then copy the firmware, then voila!
To format your MP4/MP3 players, first connect it to your PC then right click, select format, then choose FAT, then start formatting.
To download Music/files to your player, connect it to your PC then drag & drop the file you want to be copied.

hi i got sony mp4 player 2gb wirh frimware version srx-3.5.37 after formating it’s shows space 475 mb then i upgrade the firmware after upgrading it showing nothing just black black and black and the power on button iz also not working and the computer is also not finding the drive of mp4 help me help me

Hey I accidently formatted the drive on my MP3/4 player and now i can not access any files from the device (but it still operates as a USB mass storage device)

please, never upgard your MP3 player , al firmware available are not sure and not tested by any qualified organisation ,,,
nb; wilson firmware is not aavilable !!! do nt upgaurd your mp3 any way/ you can onlu(surely) dou buck up and use i if ncessary
