I bought a 4gb fake nano (http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260028785890&sspagename=ADME:L:AAQ::1). Because tecntical problems updated the firmware and now I see nothing. I do not have the original software, never send it to me. I downloaded some from different pages.

Tried different firewares but wont work.

Please I need help, what else can I do?

i have get same problem after encrypting partion memero size change to 1 gb to 256 mb. as embedded programmable i check the memry chip and i found that the chip is of 256 mb that why many times my data after 223 mb get corrupted.
so this chines mp3/mp4 player makes fake to us . the just hell with firmware and show double size than present. so dont play wiht firmware upgrade that will dead your player if any thing goes wrong then yo need to manual programm it which is to hard. please format or encrypt partion before purchasing player and check its real memory .im going to modify my player im trying develope ne firmware for it for supporting MMC/Sd/CF or other alternative media

My issue is same as Mr.Jitin, Nut i can use the 2 Gb No Songs No pictures presently i am using FM Radio thats all..

Also they have a forum which discusses why these 4GB players are actually NOT 4GB players at all. They have been 'hacked' to show more memory than it actually has.

4gb and 8gb chips don’t exist
for crashed players needing firmware
goto this site so you can extract your firmware www.s1mp3.de using s1fwx download that and then connect your player to your computer if it can still connect (otherwise will need to follow the recovery of your player procedure or whatever yo call it, I can’t remember.) and then run extract to extract your firmware and then run repair to make your firmware work for your player you should then have your firmware you can recover you player with.
have read how to do this on a differnt forum and it worked but used some firmware that they supplied should work for most other firmware just depends on the firmware or version of the player I supose. see if it works.

4gb and 8gbs don’t exist in these samsung / other branded name chips, unless its in the ipod or the new zoom etc, so yeah, Soso is dull.
