OK, i need big help i just bought a chinese fake iPod nano 4G and i formated the disk and when i want to go to music or videos it sey Disk Eror!..... so i fink i need a new firmware becauze i deleted it .... so plz who nose were to find a ipod nano 8gb firmwere contact my via Email!

I have the same problem I just purchase an ipod 32Gb pmp from china, when I turn it on all I see is the welcome screen I dont know what to do.

Hi my mom bought me a 16GB nano for Christmas and I reformatted it on my Macbook Pro and now it says it only has 00MB free space instead of the 16 GB it said before the reformat! I really could use the firmware or any help to figure this thing out!

I bought 1GB music player(China Made) which looks almost similar to ipod shuffle(2nd generation).Accidently i formatted the player and now the music player is not working.Player is detecting as removable disc on my PC nd files can be copied too.Plz help me to restore my music player.

I did a backup of my files to pc, did the quick format, restored the files, and it works fine now.

fake ipod disk error
google and download mp3_player_utilities_4.05

run the disk manger pgm.
Go to partition tab.
Move slid to bar far right.
click ok. when done,
redo again, with the bar to the far left.

Now go to the format tab
format setting on low
now format it take a long time
appox 30 min

now format in windows fat32

check ipod now to see if instead of
getting disk error you should now
see disk empty if not
repeat the steps above

I did mine 3 times before it took

I’ve also got some problems with my 'lie-pod'(Fake chinese ipod)
It works perfectly, except for the songs I added lately... Whenever I trie, it gives me a message saying:'Format error!'.
The one who can help me will get a virtual cookie.
