I had the same problem, i fixed it using the format tool in the disk managment window. Reformat the drive to FAT 64 kb cluster size.

i have a big problem wid the SONY TD-28 MP4/WMA/REC
The songs once installed in it played at the begining then later on it jst plays for 10 seconds and skips on to the next song ...pls assist me in reformatting by providing me the Cd driver r the Softwarre for the above mentioned Player . i need it right away as i am reformatting it right away
would be grateful if my need is met soon as possible

The firmware problem product got 1 solution that is don’t repeat mistake, the step you had use to update.
Ask someone who has no problem using to help you see
driver in the device manager in XP? Ask him to copy driver and sent the file to you manually.
Or else don’t use this brand again.
