You have to be more precise about your setup.
You said you’re using Windows Movie Maker, so I presume your movies are wmv files, and that you burned them on a data cd.
When you say “when I try to watch the recorded cd on my tv via my panasonic cd/dvd player it plays the music but not the images” are you saying you’re connecting to your TV through the TV-out socket from your graphic card, or are you saying you have a standalone dvd player (for playing commercial dvd movies) and you put your cd in there?
If you’re connecting through TV-out, you might want to check your display settings are set to the right format (NTSC or PAL).
If you’re trying to play this in a standalone dvd player it won’t work, unless the player has Windows Media Video capabilities (just like some players have divx capabilities). Most standalone DVD players don’t handle either divx or Windows Media, but MPEG (-1 and -2). You would have to convert your video into a dvd (format is mpeg-2) or a vcd (video cd - the format is mpeg-1) or a svcd (super video cd - the format is mpeg-2). There’s many (s)vcd authoring programs out there. TMPGEnc (from www.tmpgenc.net) comes to mind.
