I’ve seen solutions for similar problems with video, but I can’t seem to find one for audio. I have been trying to import i-tunes music and I keep getting this error:
“The file ...My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Compilations\Wicked_ Original Broadway Cast\18 For Good.m4a cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again."
I don’t know what codecs I need, much less where to get them. I would much appreciate some assistance, if anyone knows.

Wait I think I have asolution... After hours of clicking and frustration I have figured out how to put music from itunes in my movie.
First I went out and bought a Mac. Then I used i movie. Finally I can drag and drop all sorts of media into my movie and I have no formating issues. :-)
I am trying to copy music to a short film but I just get the codec error message , which codec do I need please..
