All the soft they told you were like “cripted”. You can’t do your own creation with your imagination with.
Personnly, I think that “Adobe After Effect” is the best.
It’s pretty simple to use (if you have some knowleges in the domain..) and very powerfull.

Windows movie maker or windows live movie maker.
ITS TOO LATE THIS IS SINCE 7 YEARS
Window movie maker is the best for window xp user. It is easy to use and with small installation files. Besides window movie maker, AVS video converter is my favorite, open source free editing software Avidemux is also a nice option.
