does anyone know how to get movies onto my vivitar multimedia player? have converted them to mp4 but 'file not recognised' comes up.

Sorry, mp4 doesnt work, you need mpeg-1, which is what the software given plays. However, you can update the firmware... and it will work. Here is the main issue, the software on the vivitar doesnt get any support, but vosonic make an identical player and the firmware for that works on the vivitar, go here: http://www.mmv-club.com/firmware/MMV-3.5/1.2.6/FRF0J126.zip
