i have the time running on the windows media player but no sound or picture. Is there a player that plays everything? What codecs are neccessary?

In OS X Lion, you can trim videos using the new Quicktime Player 10.1 (no adndaioitl software vital). I’ve written a half-page tutorial on how to do so at bryce-thomas.blogspot.com/2011/09/breaking-record-into-multiple-parts-in.html
