unknown format

i recorded a couple of avi’s using my quick cam.
they used to play fine but now it is telling me that it " cannot find vdec decompressor. i went to properties and it tells me unknown format can anyone please help me

I had the same problem.. i got a video here since 1997, and I still without watch it... ´cause cdec format!
