Too much software?

I seem to be putting questions in the wrong forum, well I am a beginer. I use real player too and have found it OK (it even told me I needed to download TAG85, does it always do this)as a beginner I am downloading to much media though. I can now play through Real, etomi,Power dvd, Windows mediaplayer, nero and divx player. I also have video inspector. Win avi converter, nvida and winmix now down loaded. My computer is much slower now but I don’t know what to keep and what not to. I even have Java downloaded to run etomi Hellllp
