I am editing on a Mac with Final Cut Pro. I recently created some films compressed as mpeg4. Now I can’t open the films on other Mac’s as unknown error -8971 keeps coming up. Can anyone tell me what these errors are and how I can fix them?

Tkx to Sarah, VLC really works! It can even fix some of the damaged files! Too bad I can’t save the fixed files or did I missed anything?

I also am getting this error message! but does this mean that you can not play these files through Quick Time? as in the manual on the camera I have it says you should be able to? That is why I purchased it!

just download klite codec pack fro file hippo.com and u all good to go.it will solve all ur errs now u can play any video format in windows media player. salut
