problems with windows movie . maker

HI i dont know if anyone can help i made a slide show in movie maker, adding pictures of my children and some music etc. I tried to upload it to youtube and also facebook but it would not load, said it was an unsupported file. Can anyone tell me how to convert it i dont know much about computers but would really love to finish this thankyou
