i,m looking for a quicktime-or-alternative-that i can use to play-kodak hd.mov-foremat,quicktime.one that lets you print out a frezze frame ,can anyone help ? thanks.

Have you actually tried QuickTime?
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ (get the one withOUT iTunes)
The most straightforward way I can think of is play the movie in QuickTime, pause where you want to take the still, then press Alt-Print Scrn. Then go to Paint, and go to edit, paste.
Another way (once you have QuickTime installed) is to play the file in Media Player Classic, then press F5 where you want to make the capture. The still will be saved in your My Pictures folder. MPC may be more accurate, because it has a step button, which lets you step frame by frame.
QuickTime Alternative and QuickTime Lite should also work for playback. I think the former comes with MPC, which would allow you to make the capture as mentioned above.
