Plz help really bad background noise?

Hi. I just got a UNO Midi for my Casio synthesizer. It installed fine, but when I use my Acid software or even just Windows standard recorder, there is this terrible air sound. I’m not even sure if it’s background, because I have the tv on, and I don’t hear it. Anyways, my keyboard notes are there, but barely, you have to strain to hear them under the loud air noise. It sounds just awful, I could never even use this. I’m new to this, so if you all know something this so please help me out, if you know what the problem is or how I can fix it.
