Install an Antivirus, and it will detect the adware/spyware, and possibly will let the player run anyway. But of course, chances are the files will not contain what u thought u downloaded.

play3w is a means for distributing a trojan virus. Im suprised the media hasn’t been alerted of such a blatent scam to hurt the P2P world. Delete any torrents relating to the play3w and God help you if youve already downloaded the player. Sites like isohunt should never have let this happen, and the people who are running this play3w scam need to be put behind bars.

i have axxo movies and they r the best quality but this guys is irritating me and i m gona hunt him down.

I had installed the player. it works
the movie is fantastic 4(2007)
but I can’t use subtitles(the subtitles function does not work)

when I was installing the program, at the end of instalation process my firewall asked me to allow to the installer program to connect to the internet - I said NO.
then when I start the program, ask me to give access to the internet - I refuced.

A friend of mine gave me one such file (I wouldn’t waste time to download one myself). Even without downloading their player I was able to crack the format. (it is that simple).

The fake avi contains 2 files. What you see is actually mini-avi that is about 0.5MB and displays only the message saying where you can download the spy infected player.
You can get the exact size from the 4 bytes in little-endian format right at the starting “RIFF” chunk.

After the mini-avi ends you have few bytes (zeros) padding to file position multiple of 256. At that position you can find 100 bytes of 0xFF (I call it sync), that could be discarded.

Following bytes are the content encoded by simple XOR on 42 byte sequence. You can figure out the sequence by yourself, the original file have gaps full of zeroes that expose the repeating combination plainly visible. In my case it was 41 random ASCII symbols followed by single 0x00.
They may change that in future.

Actually because I haven’t RE their player and have examined only one file, I have no idea if that sequence is used for all files, or there is some marker that is used as index of predefined sequences. I also have no idea if padding could be bigger, if sync bytes could vary, etc...

I’m sure that if you know at least one program language you can write your own decryptor. Happy hunting.

Oh, In my case the hidden file was AVI with completely different movie.

please dont slag of axxo as he deos’nt zip, rar or password files and would’nt use crappy converting software. i suggest you use a respectable torrent site!!!!!

I downloaded the play3w to play oceans thirteen from axxo, However the film is actually a German porn and not even that good.

Kaspersky 6.x will remove the fxxxing Trojan from your Computer. I’ve had the same Problem.
