panasonic gs 150....is it good enough to post pro? cannot use usb....since mine is slow..

I am trying to make up mymind about whether I should keep this nice little camera with 3ccd. But it has not volume control while recording which freaks me out. Also the 2.0 usb does not seem to be accepted by my presario laptop. I am looking at a JVC 1 ccd but 1/4 inch for 1049 at B&H which may be better...not sure...
on TV monitor this Gs150 is great...but the sound is okay with no control...
please feedback on this...
