hi, i hope someone reads and responds to this.

i have a problem with playing .avi files. everytime i play it in any players (winamp, windows media player, real player) the computer autorestarts (there will be a blue screen with words, but it is so fast that i cannot read what it says) or freezes any time.

so i cannot watch a show smoothly without interruptions. can someone help please? reply

i disabled the autorestart function and now i can read the blue screen clearly. it talks about a hardware not being installed properly. i have no clue what it is about.. help is greatly needed and appreciated. if anyone needs to know what the blue screen says in detail, i can copy it down and post it here. thank you! reply

I think I know what your problem may be.

Right click on My Computer,Properties,Hardware,Device Manager, then hit Display Adapters. That should bring down your Sound Card Version. Put that into google and see if there’s an update for that model. Make sure if you update/download your driver you get it from a truted site. Got some vicious new viruses out there. Even one’s that completely disable your anti-virus, so be careful. Anyhow that’s how I completely resolved my problem. Winamp works perfect! Best Visualizer Out!!

Hope this helps. reply
